Packers rookies Gary Kroner, left, and John Fabry check the schedule on the bulletin board in a dormitory at St. Norbert College in De Pere as they report to training camp in mid-July 1963. Both were former Wisconsin players. Kroner, a halfback, was a seventh-round draft pick. Fabry, a defensive back, was a free agent. Neither player made the team. Fabry, who became a Green Bay businessman, served on the Packers' Executive Committee until 2007 and on the team's board of directors until becoming a director emeritus in 2009.
