Father Dennis Burke

Father Dennis Burke was the 2nd President of St. Norbert College (following Abbot Benard Pennings, the founder of the college).  According to Thomas Kunkel (current President of St. Norbert), "it was Father Burke who made St. Norbert the modern institution of higher education it is today."  Additionally, Father Burke was the one who brought the Green Bay Packers to St. Norbert College in 1958.  Today, the St. Norbert community and the Packers organization have a very strong relationship, much thanks to Fr. Burke.
