Alan H. (Bud) Selig has been the Commissioner (CEO) of Major League Baseball since 1998.  As commissioner, Selig has been at the head of every significant change to professional baseball, from playoff formatting, interleague play, strike zone, and instant replay.  Selig’s efforts to strive toward a competitive balance among teams can be easily be seen when nine different teams team have won the World Series in the last 10 seasons and 11 different organizations have occupied the 12 World Series berths from 2005 – 2010.

Selig was also the owner and president of the Milwaukee Brewers organization from 1970 until 2005.  Selig is said to be the only reason why baseball is still in Milwaukee today, since Milwaukee is his hometown.
